At the last minute, two more players were added. Now, I could have said no, but the idea is to get folks involved, right? Needless to say, the board became instantly filled with tiny flags moving around. The first turn ended up being a bit more time consuming than I'd planned, but everyone got moved through player #9.
Player 10 (sorry Phil) was surrounded by many other flags and unfortunately rolled high. What this meant was we had contact in the first turn! Not a horrible thing, but he hit with both of his forces, potentially putting his longevity in the campaign in jeopardy. Everyone else mustered or rolled on the charts for special locations. Chris' lizards have an uber move and Ryan's elves are waylaid drinking in town. All in all a good first turn.
Phil won both of his fights yesterday, and my hope is that players will bring cameras to their battle so we can get the action throughout the week as they play. Will be bringing it up on Saturday and on the forums.
Avalon Comics and Games is in Silverdale, WA and is owned by Anthony Goodall...a great shop and great players. I recommend it as the best in Kitsap County.
